12 months from date of receipt at -20°C to -70°C. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for almost 6 months (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.

BACKGROUND

CD86, also known as B-lymphocyte activation antigen B7-2,is a member of the cell surface immunoglobulin superfamily. CD86 provides a stimulatory signal to B cell function. CD86 has also been shown to be important in initiation of IL-4 responses. The B7 (CD80, CD86) molecules on APC and their ligands on T cells (CD28, CTLA4 [CD152]) provide crucial costimulation signals for the regulation of effective immune responses. CD86 has an important role in chronic hemodialysis, allergic pulmonary inflammation, arthritis, and antiviral responses.
