BGLB 2％ (Brilliant Green Lactose Bile) Broth [MB-B1030]
Medium used for the isolation and cultivation of coliform microorganisms in foods, water and dairy products.
* Equally use with MFDS (MB-B1030K), NIER (MB-B1030N) and Fluoro BGLB (BGLB-MUG) (MB-F1030).
* This is the same product as the Food Code , Drinking Water Quality Processing Standard , and Fluoro BGLB (BGLB-MUG) (MB-F1030) .
PROCEDURE
Suspend 40.01 G of powder in 1 L of distilled or deionized water. If necessary, add 1 vial of MUG supplement (MB-M1820) (BGLB-MUG). Heat to boiling until completely dissolved. Sterilize by autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes. Cool to 45 - 50°C in water bath. Mix well. Pour into tubes with durham tubes.
STORE
The powder is very hygroscopic. Store the powder at room temperature, in a dry environment, in its original container tightly closed and use it before the expiry date on the label or until signs of deterioration or contamination are evident. Store prepared medium at 2 - 8°C.
