Magnetic Beads DNA/RNA Extraction/Magnetic Beads Virus DNA/RNA KitThe Magnetic Beads Virus DNA/RNA Extraction Plate Kit was designed for high-throughput purification of high-quality of viral DNA and viral RNA from cell-free samples such as serum, plasma, body fluids, the supernatant of viral infected cell cultures, nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swabs in viral transport medium (VTM). Viral DNA/RNA is bound to the surface of the magnetic beads and released using a proprietary buffer system. The Magnetic Beads Viral DNA/RNA Extraction Plate Kit can be used with Geneaid SYNC Nucleic Acids Extraction System and other similar extractors. 10E1-10E9 copies of viral DNA/RNA can be purified from up to 300 µl samples within 30 minutes. The purified viral DNA/RNA can be used directly in qPCR and qRT-PCR assays.

QUALITY CONTROL
The quality of Magnetic Beads Virus DNA/RNA Extraction Plate Kit is tested on a lot-to-lot basis according to Geneaid's ISO-certified quality management system by isolating viral DNA/RNA from a 200 µl plasma sample.

Figure 1 . The synthetic SARS-CoV-2 genomic RNA was extracted from 200 μl of VTM using Geneaid Magnetic Beads Virus DNA/RNA Extraction Plate Kit combined with SYNC Nucleic Acids Extraction System (3 replication). 6 μl of extracted viral RNA from 80 μl eluate was used for COVID-19 detection using a FDA EUA certified COVID-19 real-time PCR detection kit (detecting SARS-CoV-2 N gene and E gene). The results showed that 9 x 102 copies of SARS-CoV-2 can be detected.
