The Geneaid Universal Transport Tube (UTM) is intended for transportation of infectious samples suspected of containing virus and bacteria, especially suitable for SARS-CoV-2 transportation. The Geneaid UTM consists of a 7 mL storage tube with a cap containing 1 mL or 3 mL of the medium. The formulation of the Geneaid UTM includes Hank's balanced salt solution to maintain pH and osmotic balance, antibiotics to minimize bacterial and fungal contamination, and phenol red to indicate pH. It is recommended that 2~25°C is the most appropriate temperature for specimen transportation.

• Format: 1 ml/ 3 ml Universal Transport Medium in 7 ml tube with cap. With/ without nasopharyngeal swabs.
  
• Sample: nasopharyngeal/ oropharyngeal swabs.
  
• Intended use: The Geneaid UTM is intended for the collection and transport of clinical specimens containing viruses, chlamydiae, mycoplasma or ureaplasma from the collection site to the testing laboratory.

APPLICATIONS
The Geneaid UTM is a  viral transport medium for collection, transport, maintenance and long term freeze storage of Viruses, such as SARS-CoV-2, Influenza H1N1, Chlamydia, Mycoplasma and Ureaplasma specimens. The Geneaid UTM is suitable for Rapid Antigen Testing, Viral Culture and  Molecular Testing.
