Introduction

The full name of Tris base is tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane, also known as 2-Amino-2-(hydroxymethyl)-1,3-propanediol, also known as Tris base (Tris base) or Trizma® base (Trizma® base) molecular formula is C4H11NO3. Its molecular weight is 121.14.

The aqueous solution of this product is alkaline, and hydrochloric acid is generally added to adjust the pH value to the desired value, and then the buffer solution with the pH value can be obtained. The effective buffer range of Tris base is pH7.0-9.2, pKa(25)=8.1. This product is white crystalline powder.

This product is a commonly used buffer reagent, such as Tris-HCl buffer prepared with various pH values, Tris-glycine or Bis-Tris protein electrophoresis solution related to protein electrophoresis, or TAE and TBE nucleic acid electrophoresis solution related to nucleic acid electrophoresis. This product is suitable for electrophoresis experiments of various common proteins and nucleic acids.

This product is a molecular biology grade (Molecular Biology Grade) reagent, and the prepared solution has been tested and can be used in various common molecular biology experiments.
